Activating BibleWorks 8, 9 or 10

As of June 15, 2018 BibleWorks ceased operation as a provider of Bible software tools. The old BibleWorks web site, activation server and forum are gone. This new forum is intended to provide a way for the thousands of people still using BibleWorks to communicate with one another. Click on "General BibleWorks Discussion" above to view messages.Or you can jump directly to two topics of general interest to everyone:

Welcome to the New BibleWorks Forum
How to Activate a New Installation of BibleWorks 8,9 or 10.

To post to this forum you must register your account. After you register and accept the TERMS OF USE, you will be sent an e-mail immediately. You must respond to this e-mail within two days and be activated by an administrator before you can post. This is necessary to limit the use of this forum for spam.

We get a LOT of forum registrations that we cannot activate because we got no response to the confirmation e-mail that was sent. A few are returned as undeliverable and we assume that they are spammers. We have no way of knowing if the other confirmation e-mails were even received. If you registered and never received the confirmation e-mail, you can send a message to forum@biblework.com. But check your spam folder first. Of course you are free to browse messages without registering. You just can't post to the forum or respond to messages.

Hi Mike

Thank you so much for helping us still using BW.
I received the download link after sending a new request but without the hyphens. And now it all works as it should. :)

Blessings,
Peter

I am from Denmark and have been using it since BW6. :-)

How long time should I expect for the reply to arrive to me? I sent my request on March 11 but haven't recieved a reply yet.

As described in this forum, I sent an email requesting the updated BibleWorks executable (I have BibleWorks 10). I then received an email with a link to a DropBox folder. However, when I clicked on the link, no files were present. For several days, I tried clicking on the link, but I received an error message each time to the effect that the files had not been uploaded or had not finished uploading (unfortunately, I did not save a screenshot of the message). Now, however, the error message says, "This link isn't quite right. Usually this happens when the link wasn't copied exactly right." I have verified the link several times. As far as I can tell, I have followed the instructions correctly, so I am not sure what to do next. I welcome any suggestions. Thanks for enabling us to continue using BibleWorks! Stephen

Hi Mike. I own Bibleworks 8. You responded to my reactivation@bibleworks.com email by sending me BW1000 files (5/25/2026 at 10:18 AEST). Should it be BW800 files? Is this the reason why I can not get past the old activation process when I try to install the files you sent me?
Thanks for your assistance.

I am new to the forum, I have been using Bibleworks probably for 20+ years, it has worked very well until I had to download Windows 11. Initially when I switched I was able to get it working through the zip files back in September. One week ago I guess Dell or Windows 11 updated and all of a sudden I have no Bibleworks. Talk about rocking my world. I have tried 4 times with my USB to redownload Bibleworks the first 3 got to the point of needing to activate. I would then have AI help me with Mike's solution email since I am not very computer savvy . I unzipped the files and dropped into Bibleworks. and then all that would happen is the flash screen would come up and disappear. I was trying for a 4th time when I discovered my USB drive is now corrupted. I am not sure how to navigate through this site. But I sure could use some help. I thought that maybe it is time to switch to Accordance so I downloaded a free trial and spent all day yesterday trying to get it to work like Bible works. But I would rather keep using Bibleworks if I could. I SURE COULD USE SOME HELP !!!!. I heard that there is a download online of Bibleworks 10 I could access is that true? thanks, Tom Henderson

Dear Admin,

I sent re-activation e-mail with subject "BW10-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-58DQ David Chan" (only last 4 serial no. shown here) to reactivation@bibleworks.com at 5:55pm (Hong Kong time) on 26.5.2026 but didn't receive the link to download the new executable to date. Could you send the link to me to re-activate my BibleWorks?

Dear Admin,

Further to my message on 31/5 above, I am still awaiting the executable link to re-activate my BibleWorks. Should I re-send the re-activation e-mail to you? Please kindly follow up and advise.

Dear Admin,

There are following 3 types of Subject formats mentioned in the instruction message and I used the second type (with a hyphen before serial no.). I have just re-sent reactivation request using the third type (no hyphen) and hope it will work.

BW10####-####-####-#### Your Name
BW10-ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-MNOP Your name
BW10ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOP Your name
