BibleWorks 10.0.8.1382 running under Windows 11/UTM 4.7.4.
I can copy ordinary text from the Browse Window and from other Analysis tabs. However, when I select text in either:
* the Analysis → Analysis tab when displaying lexicon material, or
* the floating Lexicon Browser
Ctrl+C clears the selection but puts nothing on the Windows clipboard.
The Lexicon Browser’s Edit → Copy to Clipboard also fails. Copy to Editor produces the BW error sound.
I have already tried resetting Copy Options, restoring an earlier BW checkpoint, and changing the RTF/Unicode export options. None helped.
Was there a known fix or workaround for this in BW10?
BW10 Lexicon/Analysis text will not copy to clipboard
Re: BW10 Lexicon/Analysis text will not copy to clipboard
It works fine for me. You can try backing up your bw1000.ini file, then delete it and see if you can reproduce the error. If no then restore the ini file.
There could also be a conflict with another program using the clipboard. Try rebooting and then starting BW to see if that helps.

Re: BW10 Lexicon/Analysis text will not copy to clipboard
I believe this is the second post with Windows 11 and clipboard issues on BibleWorks. I did some digging, apparently the new clipboard changes can cause race conditions with old software?
One thing to try is disabling Windows 11's new "clipboard history" feature, supposedly:

Just wait, next Microsoft will add Copilot to clipboard

Re: BW10 Lexicon/Analysis text will not copy to clipboard
Thanks for your suggestions, but my problem persists.
1. I deleted the bw1000.ini file and restarted BW10, the problem remains exactly the same. Namely, I'm perfectly able to copy-paste from other tabs except Analysis tab and Lexicon floating window.
2. My Windows 11 Clipboard History was already set to "Off". (Just in case, I tested BW10 under both settings, with no avail).

What happens when you select the text and use the context menu to copy the text instead? Does that still work out of curiosity?Pradesh wrote: Sun Aug 23, 2026 4:47 am Thanks for your suggestions, but my problem persists.

It's exactly the same as when trying to copy-paste using the drop-down menu as I first described.
Re: BW10 Lexicon/Analysis text will not copy to clipboard
It is very likely a conflict with another program that monitors clipboard activity. Could be an anti-virus issue. Try turning off your antivirus software temporarily. I don't think it is a BibleWorks issue.Pradesh wrote: Mon Aug 31, 2026 9:20 am It's exactly the same as when trying to copy-paste using the drop-down menu as I first described.
